I thorough analysis of our academic education system indicates a habit that worth emulating.
Have you noticed that a higher percentage of students who started school either basic or advanced ensure they do whatever it takes to finished?
The reason is that there is an automatic goal set to be achieved and achieving the goal is an achievement and also anchors to further achievement.
Does that mean academic qualification is easier to achieve?
I don’t think so. Making money and other materials success is easier because of the instant rewards and feelings that come with it.
How come people are finding it difficult then?
The secret is in goal setting.
According to Lawrence J. Peter
"If you don’t know where you are going, you will probably end up somewhere else."
A few classes I have taken about goal settings reveal that;
- Many people want to set goals but don’t know how to go about it
- Some set goals but no compelling enough to inspire them to take action that will lead to its accomplishment
- Those who set a reasonable one are finding it difficult to follow up.
